We will be several steps ahead

Einar Sivertsen meets us with a big smile and sounding Nordland dialect through the screen on Teams. He is 55 years old, and has worked with IT for no less than 33 years. - I've seen most things so far really. From large, thick machines, the internet revolution to the computer I hold in my hand today, he says with great commitment. Einar himself thinks IT is so much fun because it is constantly changing. Not just from year to year, but from hour to hour. This is how it is when new updates are rolled out around the clock, and new products and versions are launched continuously. IT does not sleep.

We are allowed to shake our heads every day to improve ourselves and thus the solutions we deliver. It's great that Braathe Gruppen has that kind of focus. -Einar Sivertsen, Head of Proactive Operations

In Bodø, Einar is the head of the department with the name Proactive operation for public sector and large customers. Together with a skilled team, they work proactively to find out how existing services and solutions can be made even better. He thinks it is incredibly fun: - We are allowed to turn our heads together every day to improve ourselves and thus also the solutions we deliver. It's great that Braathe Gruppen have that kind of focus.

Greetings to Einar Sivertsen, head of Proactive development with us.

From iTet to Braathe Gruppen

Originally, Einar worked for the local IT supplier iTet in Bodø together with several others. iTet then got a new name through the acquisition Braathe Gruppen in 2020. This led to some changes in structure and organization, and the competence was moved and adapted. Thus, Einar ended up as a proactive service developer in a completely new department.

- In short, we work with service development. That is, we develop existing services that the company offers. As a department, we work on improving solutions based on either previous problems or errors that have appeared or are missing, we discover ourselves. It is often in the word proactive, Bodøværingen quickly mentions.

We must also not forget the security aspect. There is something Einar cares a lot about: - Another important area that we have a strong focus on is security and vulnerabilities. We work actively here at all levels, including us in my department, which is part of, among other things Braathe Gruppens «Major Incident Team». In addition, the focus on security and integrity is very important to us. That is why we have several forums that work with our large suppliers and the security environments "out there", to be on the ball quickly when a vulnerability becomes known. And they come - Often!

With innovation as a job

Sudoku and things like that do not beat this here, Einar tells us while he smiles wisely. - It is a bit of a brainwashing to develop services in this way. There are many factors to consider, he also says. As a company, we are committed to operating sustainably while delivering services of the highest quality. The technology must also be realistic to achieve - and fortunately we have become a competence environment that extends from Oslo to Tromsø. With a click on the "meet" button on Teams, we are there.

As a company, our goal is to deliver worry-free IT from A to Z. Not only do we develop and tailor new solutions, we also consider the services again and again to uncover minor errors or omissions long before you experience them. That way, the services you get will be tested both 10 and 30 times before you use them.

What we really expect is to be ahead… This is how we work in the supply chain together. Every day we depend on working towards the same goal. It is Braathe Gruppen in a nutshell..

We expect this from ourselves

My goal, says Einar, is to make the department for Reactive Operations, ie those who have to handle things when the error has already occurred, "unemployed". He laughs it off as he waves at the screen. -Just fools, they will probably never be without work that gang there. But it is allowed to hope, he says with a twinkle in his eye.

-What we really expect is to be ahead. All weaknesses of a service, not that there are so many, should be uncovered and removed through us. And I'm so happy with a team that understands the importance of that. This is how we work in the supply chain together. Every day we depend on working towards the same goal. It is Braathe Gruppen in a nutshell, Einar finally says.

Soon we will be going on holiday like the rest of the Norwegian population, and we look forward to that! Einar and the gang are also taking a well-deserved holiday, but are looking forward to this autumn's many unknown challenges. Sivertsen has no plans to give up IT yet.
