The King of Lenovo

We start the coffee conversation by sharing our new nickname for him. This is what happened after he was named Lenovo Ambassador just a few weeks ago. The most generous award in the industry to people like Jørn. So what do we call him? Yes, Lenovo King. Very suitable for a "happy boy" from the Oslo Fjord, we think.

With his young 46 years, Jørn has been doing IT for as long as he can remember. All the way back to when PCs took up much more space, and the internet was not in the pocket of mobile phones. He has thus seen the development, and followed it closely. For the curiosity for the subject is great.

- I read a lot on "next tech". That is, what is on the way. Here, my experience also plays a big role, because then I can anticipate the next steps and plan how I can share it with my customers.

Burner for good equipment

With a budding interest and a lot of curiosity about what became a significant development in the IT field, Jørn could not choose anything other than an IT education. It was a trip to electrical, electronics and computer technology. He has been to several different jobs, and even run his own company, but luckily we got him on the team. The whole workday has been about IT.

This is how it is today as well. Jørn hears about something new that is on the way. Then it quickly becomes a phone call to a customer. - It is our job to tell about products that can provide value for our customers, he says with a sly smile.

My goal is always to create customer relationships for life. What other goal should I really have. That is the most important thing.

Jørn has done it several times, and the customers love it. They are always eager to try equipment that can make their working day better.

- My last example is from when the world's most powerful PC was to be launched. Thanks to my people at the Norwegian Lenovo office, I was allowed to borrow the world's most powerful PC. I took it to a customer to run tests and show them what this could mean for their everyday lives. It really fell in taste, says Jørn with great commitment.

The customer Jørn mentions here that we also had to make another phone call. Simen Frostad, who is chairman of the board of the company Bridge Technologies, speaks warmly of the relationship with Braathe and not least Jørn. We will greet them more next week.

What do you work on most now, Jørn?
- Now a lot of my time goes to the meeting room. Because it's not just a meeting room anymore. It must be able to work for all purposes. So I think it's very exciting!

One thing Jørn has learned during his years in the industry is that toll purchases are expensive and sour. No matter what the work equipment. And not least equipment that requires a lot of time and resources to set up.

- I work with people to open their eyes to our solution. I think it is unique with only a one-month lock-in period.
