The benefit of being fresh

With a long career in the media world as a consultant and sales manager, there was a professional change when Siw-Helén applied for a job with us. She finds that exciting. As a freshman in the IT industry, she comes in with a squint at both us and our industry, at the same time as she asks questions many people forget to ask. We believe this is an advantage for our customers.

Siw-Helén herself experiences that her new eyes can be good to have with her, especially in meetings with our customers. She says that the industry language was the first thing she noticed:

- For many who work in an industry and in a professional area for a long time, words and expressions can become part of everyday speech. But that does not apply to the rest of the population. Here I think my job is very important in meeting our customers. I want to help people understand.

We must be a resource for the customer. A sparring partner. So that they become the best possible.

Long sailing time in the sales profession

Siw-Helén has worked with the sales profession for many years, but this is the first time she will sell IT services. What she is most looking forward to is being a resource and sparring partner for the customer, so that the customer's business also grows.

- As a rookie, I take advantage of the fact that I experience the same as the customer. The expert in me is far from fully developed yet, so I have to dare to ask the stupid questions. Maybe it can also create a better dynamic between me and my customers, since I look at IT more from their perspective than from Braathe sit?

She is very fond of the sales profession itself. Mostly because of all the people she meets. Therefore, Siw-Helén is very much looking forward to physical customer meetings again.

- I went straight to the home office. So it will be extra good to come back to my office in Kongsberg. And the most fun will be to travel to the customers!

What do you think it's like to work with you as a customer advisor?

- My goal in the role is that the customer should feel taken care of and that I am perceived as a resource for them. I want my customers to move forward and succeed. As a total supplier, we have the tools we need. I want to convey that.

Ever since Siw-Helén started selling, she has seen the value of research in advance:

- Research is the alpha omega. I do a lot of it. My goal is to get an overview of the company, your industry and your people. This also makes it easier to ask the right questions. That way I can come up with advice and recommendations based on the customer's needs, and maybe together we will discover more needs along the way. In addition, clarification of expectations is super important to me. My colleagues have received me well from day one, and it has been incredibly wonderful.

Part of a team Braathe

What is it like to be a part of Braathe- the people?

- The good stomach feeling I got in the interview has only intensified. My colleagues have received me well from day one, and it has been incredibly wonderful. They have been on the supply side ever since the start, so I could get off to a good start despite restrictions and home office.

Another thing Siw-Helén has noticed is the team spirit within the customer advisors:

- I experience that despite different locations on the sellers, we are a well-knit team that plays each other well. We are good at interacting on Teams, and everyone is ready to assist me and answer questions. There is a high ceiling and room for the "stupid" questions. I really appreciate that.

We are so happy to have Siw-Helén on the team, and we hope she never stops asking questions. That's the way we get better. Thanks for the chat on Teams, Siw-Helén. We look forward to meeting you physically!
