What can Copilot do now that it is in Norwegian?
That Copilot for Microsoft 365 is finally in Norwegian means a lot for the way we can use it. Copilot has a lot of amazing features that we haven't been able to use until now because of the language, but can finally be tested in the next few months.
Copilot can help you create presentations based on your notes, set up budget analyses, reports and much, much more. You can spar with it, share ideas and find the answer together with it. In addition, since the AI tool is purchased and paid for, you can rest assured that all information is secured. It will never find its way out, no matter how much you use Copilot.

What do you HAVE to do before Copilot is activated?
Since Copilot gets access to all data that your user has access to, it is very important that all users have the correct access. If you are not sure which access is needed for which users, we recommend that you choose less access, rather than more. If not, it can become both messy for the users involved and illegal data handling at the same time.
The very worst that can happen is that users who should not have access get access to sensitive information and discover it by random searches in Copilot. Then there can be both sour faces and major consequences for the people involved. Make sure the accesses are in order before you start.
We always recommend clearing your data before using tools like Copilot. That is why we have put together a guide on how you can prepare before activating Copilot. Read more about it here.
This is how we recommend rolling out Copilot for Microsoft 365 to your organization
Our clear recommendation is to start small. That's because we see that the cost of going hard can be quite large. Both financially, but also for the users' patience and motivation. That's why we recommend getting a foot in the ground, checking who can benefit from the AI tool, and activating Copilot for Microsoft 365 accordingly.
We recommend to:
- Activate Copilot for a limited, internal test group
- Carry out tests and evaluations continuously in different tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
- Map out which basis of needs you have in the organisation
- Roll out Copilot for Microsoft 365 based on the findings of the evaluation
- Have training in sensible and source-critical AI use
We offer a template for such a process, and can also assist you in carrying out such a process. Getting your hands on Copilot may take a bit longer, but it's definitely worth it. Rolling out AI tools to "everyone" will create both frustration and confusion among users. We have ourselves tested the method written above here, and have found a lot of valuable information across the departments that we would not be without.
