In 2020, we have seen a marked change for IT services in the market, and that the new trends will be long-lasting. In order to be able to follow up the demand in the market, we have initiated a competence boost, and are expanding certification and competence among 130 employees. Our senior sales consultant, Tom Erik Wang, quickly took on the task of becoming certified in Microsoft cloud technology.

Tom Erik joined the company after we bought the IT company Itum AS in 2019. He has worked with IT operations since 1997 and has, among other things, a degree from the Norwegian College of Information Technology (NHI). Tom Erik has a background from several IT companies, and has worked for companies such as Evry and Sopra Steria, but for the past 6 years Tom Erik has worked for us. He says that he wanted to join a smaller IT company, and when a senior sales consultant position opened in Itum, he jumped at the chance.

“I like talking to customers, being able to be independent and winning contracts. I have recently also worked a lot with tenders, and I like how we bring in talented people from the entire organization to deliver good answers ", he smiles.

Since Tom Erik is part of the sales department, he has taken two new certifications this fall - MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals. Tom Erik thinks Microsoft 365 was somewhat easier to pass than the exam with Azure as the theme. Microsoft 365 and Azure are comprehensive cloud solutions and require broad expertise and insight from those who will advise customers in this area.

I work daily with challenges and advice within these solutions, and it is important that I have an understanding of how the various solutions and opportunities are connected. Now I have a significantly greater competence within these solutions. It gives a sense of security that we know what we are talking about when we are in dialogue with our customers.

He has previously been certified on HP servers and Lenovo data center solutions.

Furthermore, Tom Erik says that he enjoys it very much Braathe Gruppen.

“I think it is a wonderful group, good colleagues and a very good working environment. I was afraid that the acquisition of Itum would lead to us becoming a very large company where you just become one of many, but I do not think that is the case. It is a short way to the management and I experience being heard when I provide input ", he says enthusiastically.

Although the company has locations all over the country, and that we work in different teams across the organization, Tom Erik feels that he has become well acquainted with many people in large parts of the organization. With weekly meetings across Teams and several collaborations across the company, the commitment is kept up among the colleagues.
