As an IT company, we are committed to offering services and equipment that will make your working day even better, more efficient and more accessible. Both in the form of a new PC, digital and cloud-based desktop or enough Wifi for everyone. What we see that may be forgotten in the process is user adoption or also called training. We will talk a little about that!

Change requires adjustment and new learning

Every day we use new technical gadgets that will help us and be a tool in everyday work. These have often been decided some time ago to be integrated in the workplace - and since it is similar to so much else, we may take it for granted that everyone understands that. New equipment, new software or anything new can actually give people frustration headaches.

Therefore, we must not drop the training when such things take effect, and always have good user adoption in mind. But why is it so important? We have several reasons for this, and some of them we will talk more about in later articles, but today we will outline briefly and well why it is so important.

Avoid frustration, start with user adoption

Frustration with an employee can lead to a lot of strange things, you may have noticed that yourself? When the word file that used to be on the desktop is now in OneNote online? Or was it Sharepoint? Or wait, huh? Yes, then it's suddenly a little scary. Then several things can occur, but the most expensive and tricky mistakes are less efficiency and lost time for both frustration and use that does not correspond to what the rest of the workplace does. The collaboration can therefore also be weakened!

The other potentially expensive error is Shadow IT. That is, when your colleagues or yourself have not received good enough training in, or do not understand how something is to be used. Then Shadow IT can occur. An example is when you are working on something important in Sharepoint at work, but the program is not quite as you are used to, so you download the file you are working on. Sends it to your private mail and rather works from your private PC because you are more comfortable with your own programs. Then we have a normal Shadow IT situation.

Shadow IT does not necessarily have to be dangerous, but for your business, the information you possess is very valuable. It is therefore important that it does not go astray. Shadow IT makes you more exposed and can lead to the loss of valuable information.

Get the full effect of the new tool

We in Braathe know how important it is to give employees time to get to know the new tools they have been given, make them work for them, and make them work as a whole. Therefore, we strongly recommend that when services such as Desktop in the cloud, 365 Workplace or even Digital Reconciliation are rolled out - that you and yours take the time to get to know each other properly!

We are also here to assist, and have several great videos for training employees in many different programs. In addition, we have several experts in all our services who can assist with training, setup and much more if needed.

Just ask us and we will help you get started!
