Cloud services is a collective term for data storage for software located on servers that are accessible via the Internet. In a interview with NRK, the National Security Authority says that they are worried that public and private companies are dependent on cloud services that are operated abroad. The problem with this is that it can be confusing and difficult to control how securely the data is stored.

The data centers that store and process the data are the foundation of the digital society. You can neither touch nor feel the cloud, which makes it difficult for many to trust that it is tryggethan having a separate server or locking paper documents in a safe. When you store data in the cloud, thousands of security experts look after your data, around the clock. In general, storage in the cloud is very secure, regardless of which country the data center is stored in. With cloud storage, you have access to data anytime and anywhere, even when unforeseen things like fire, power outages or natural disasters happen.

With us as a partner in your IT environment, we help you with assessment (ROS analysis) of where to store data, based on what kind of service and sensitivity to the data the service processes. We have extensive experience in delivering IaaS services on our own data center, at the same time as we have followed Microsoft's development on their data center. Most of the services we provide are distributed on our own data center and Microsoft's data centers in Norway.

Our data centers are in Norway
We have run our data centers in Norway for many years, with a focus on stability and high security. Our data centers are located in the Oslo and Viken regions, which means that they are easily accessible so that we can quickly take action if something should happen.

Microsoft's data centers in Norway
In the autumn of 2019, Microsoft will open two new data center regions in Norway that will give customers the opportunity to have, among other things, Microsoft 365 data stored on Norwegian soil. Microsoft's data centers are located in the Oslo and Stavanger regions.
