Security at the top of the agenda

Prediction: Digital security and security measures will be very relevant in the future.

Data and data management are only becoming more and more important at all levels in our digital society. Throughout last year, a number of attacks and attempts to exploit security holes showed how important it is to have good contingency plans, to be aware of computer security and to always be on guard. Many lifted their digital defenses last year, but we believe 2022 will be the year where this will really be put at the top of the agenda.

We believe and hope that Norwegian companies have taken a proper review of their contingency plans and run penetration tests to uncover security holes or other weaknesses. We recommend making security 2022 worthy. Has your company taken a review of contingency plans?

More people will worry about digital events

Prediction: More people will worry about hacking and digital attacks. Both in private, at work and nationally.

Ipsos confirms parts of our prediction.

According to Ipsos (via Global Advisor), 4 out of 10 say that it is likely that hackers from a foreign government will cause a global IT paralysis.

So how can you prevent both the worry and real attempts? A place to start for businesses is to have a good plan for training. Training or user adoption is a good preventive measure. With employees who are confident in both programs and routines, you suddenly have many safety ambassadors within your business. This can also be a good measure in your emergency plan!

Public and private clouds live on

Prediction: The multicloud concept will survive and be used even more.

Multicloud is a fantastic solution for securing your data. We are an active user of this solution, and highly recommend it to those who ask. The main reason is that in a multicloud architecture you can secure your data and create better interaction between the services you use. In conjunction with hybrid office and employees scattered around, multicloud makes the job easier.

We look forward to seeing the development of this concept. Especially also when the private 5G network really gets a boost in Norway. Maybe, it will affect us even more?

Fantastic opportunities with a new 5G network

Prediction: The 5G network will be used in earnest in Norway and open more doors across municipal and county boundaries.

In 2021, the private 5G network was rolled out in the cities, but it has taken its time to reach something further than that. Have you seen the symbol when you have visited cities like Oslo or Bergen? We look forward to seeing a 5G symbol wherever we go, and hope the development will mean better access to each other, more flexible solutions and a better interaction network with the technology we have today. Especially now as a home office, we are moving more between locations.

The 5G network is in many ways better equipped to handle the point above, namely the mulitcloud concept. Public and private clouds that virtually all companies in Norway now use. At the same time, 5G will improve both speed and availability in Norway no matter where you are. For companies, we have to wait a bit before 5G becomes fully available, but we see that there are solutions for renting the private 5G network.

Covid has left its mark

Prediction: The hybrid office is a fact

Despite someone's desire to be 100% back in their official office, it is not possible to get rid of the home office. We believe that a hybrid office will be the solution of the year while we maneuver through different degrees of infection in society. This does not mean that it does not work optimally!

We believe that with the right equipment, a hybrid office is a fantastic solution. Our strongest recommendation is therefore to invest in good basic equipment.

A good camera and a good solution for the sound of the ear and the sound of the recipient in the meetings are essential. If you throw in good internet as well, you have already come a long way.
