A long and good relationship

Bridge Technologies is a company that has been around since 2004. We talked to Simen, one of the heads behind it. He now has the role of chairman of the board of the innovative broadcasting company. We say that Jørn, who is our customer advisor, advised us to have a chat with Simen. There was no need for more to get him started:

- I have known Jørn for a whole massive number of years, he says with a small laugh on the phone. He adds that Jørn and Braathe has been one of the most important suppliers to the company throughout.

Why? We ask quickly.

That's because he cares about what we're actually interested in acquiring, Simen begins. He describes the relationship with us as valuable. And tells enthusiastically that Jørn is a guy who does not give up. He finds things out. He's looking. He also pitches in if he sees that this can offer a simpler or more efficient everyday life. Even if the equipment he finds is not available, he does what he can to find replacements, Simen explains to us.

He cares about what we are actually interested in acquiring.

Bridge Technologies

Simen, one of the founders behind Bridge Technologies, has been broadcasting for all these years. The company has had an insane development since 2004, and it has not stopped. TV viewing remains stable, also in the world. The biggest change is that viewers now expect higher quality of both image and sound. That's part of what Bridge Technologies does.

The company is now based in Nydalen in Oslo, and is headquartered there. In order to be a supplier to 94 countries, they have both rural representatives and system operators in each country. But the development of the technology, it takes place mainly on Norwegian soil.

- What we do is that we build new technology and improve the one that already exists for everything in broadcasting. We develop our own products and solutions. At present, our technology is present in all the leading television companies in the world, Simen shares. We hear that he knows this in and out.

Simen K. Frostad, Chairman of the Board of Bridge Technologies.

Simen himself has always had a love for technology. He started very early in his career, and has worked with everything from production to post-production and live television and film. It is therefore no wonder that he and Jørn work together as well as they do. Both fell flat for the technology.

Simen himself says that everyday life is very nice in cooperation with Braathe and Jørn. - There is a simplicity in dealing with such a knowledgeable soul. We think that is part of the definition of worry-free IT.

Greet our customer advisor, Jørn Richter, to get to know better how he works.

Testing the world's most powerful PC

With projects in 94 countries, there is little technology the company has not seen before. But Bridge Technologies has still depended on knowing about and getting access to the latest, and quickly. There comes often Braathe in. Jørn himself has shared an example of how he introduces customers to new tech. Among other things to Bridge Technologies. Because when Lenovo launched the world's most powerful PC, the road to the phone was short. He switched the thread to Simen in Bridge Technologies quickly:

- I called Simen as soon as I found out what we could do. Then I asked if he was interested in running a test in their premises in Nydalen. He was in it!

Jørn himself went to the Norwegian Lenovo office, picked up the world's most powerful PC, and drove to Nydalen. It had to be tested. The tests went smoothly, and everything from uncompressed video via IP, megabytes per minute (Mb / min) and signals in 4K UHD were mentioned and appointed, probably with big smiles, in the studio this day.

Jørn has actually participated in broadcasts before. If you want to take a look it can be seen here: Jørn, Simen and Dag about Lenovo AMD THREADRIPPER & VB440

It is a simplicity to deal with such a knowledgeable soul.

Power under the hood

Bridge Technologies depends on having "power under the hood" to deliver what they do. We ourselves think it's a good expression, because it applies to just as much PC equipment as your car. So what exactly are we delivering to Bridge Tech right now?

Jørn tells us a bit about it: -Being challenged at this level has been a lot of my driving force, not least being able to deliver equipment and technology at an unknown level as for forensics and science as those required by these elite people. And as we and our customers change, there are times when the focus for Bridge Technologies has focused on being a lot at trade fairs and in customer activities.

Our deliveries bear the mark of that. So while delivering testing on the world's most powerful PC, our display equipment has been important lately. It goes under digital signage, or digital signage as we call it. Containers with Samsung screens have therefore been discontinued at various times. Among other things to one of the world's largest trade fairs in the industry in Las Vegas. That's pretty cool!

Bridge Tech has also needed more adaptable solutions for data storage. As we all know, information is often a large part of the values of a company. That is why we recommended the Next Generation data centre. Simply explained, in next-generation data centers, much of the logic is moved from physical infrastructure to a layer of software. This way you get a significantly "neat" physical infrastructure. More and more are being moved to virtual servers and software-controlled virtual devices, which provides increased responsiveness, adaptability and simplified physical infrastructure. With such innovative business solutions, large parts of the need for maintenance are eliminated and this fits in perfectly with our vision of worry-free IT.

In addition, we put a lot of time into the delivery of first-class network equipment. If there is something broadcasting and the TV industry needs, there are good network solutions. There, Jørn has taken the lead in testing completely new equipment that the world has not yet seen. But we will talk more about that in another article. Stay tuned!

Jørn concludes that it has all been an adventure: - Bridgetech and Simen have been an adventure to follow along the way and our relationships last a lifetime.

So if you need equipment that needs a lot of "power" or just things that work, then we can help you. Our aim is to simplify and improve your everyday working life. No matter what you do!

We thank you very much for the chat, Simen and Bridge Technologies! And thanks again to Jørn who contributes in this way to customers.
