ISO, in short
ISO, which stands for International Organization for Standardization, is an organization and a concept that means that processes within a company are standardized. In this way, it will be the same in different areas for everyone who carries out a certification process. So that in meeting with you as a customer, this is a seal of quality that is always the basis with us. We take your trust seriously.
Certification requires a lot of resources, and is a time-consuming process. That is why we are extra proud of the four certifications we have. We believe the certifications can create trust in us as a supplier because we as employees in Braathe Gruppen always working to get better. That way, we can ensure you a worry-free IT everyday, every busy day!
Continuity in the requirements we meet
The standards or certifications require different things, but the common denominator is that we as a company have been assessed and accredited by an independent third party to obtain the certificates. This means that you can be sure that our processes and systems are assessed according to the standards. As an ISO-certified company, we are required to continuously carry out safety measurements and carry out annual audits to ensure that our guidelines, processes and procedures are carried out at an optimal level. It may sound quite fancy, but fortunately we have systems that also take care of us. This continuity also ensures awareness, increased security and dedication from us as a supplier.
Since our processes run continuously, we also get the opportunity to follow our own tracks and make both adjustments and changes along the way to adapt as best we can in the development to the standards. It creates positive synergies towards a strong quality and safety culture with us. With all this in mind, you can be sure that we are reliable - and that we are constantly looking for improvements in ourselves.
A seal of quality in meeting customers
ISO processes require a lot, but we think it's worth it. - It is a quality brand, I would say, says Monica Eriksen Lundbakk. Monica is one of the people who work closely with our certifications throughout the year. She makes sure that we make the right choice to maintain as high a standard as possible. We are lucky to have her on the team as Quality and Environmental Manager. She has an office space in Bodø, but has contact with the entire organization to ensure that everyone works towards the same goal.
Our ISO certifications
But then to the most important thing - what are we certified in? We want to give you an insight into this. Our ISO certificates are within Quality Management, Information Security, Environmental Management and Safe Work Environment and HSE. These are big concepts that have a lot of content. But what does that mean for you? We have made a small summary of each of the standards.
ISO 9001 Quality Management
Quality management is largely about making our customers happy with our deliveries. Our ISO 9001 certification is proof that we work actively to meet given requirements and expectations for quality and customer satisfaction year after year.
ISO 27001 Information Security
This standard provides guidelines for the establishment, implementation, operation, maintenance, evaluation and improvement of our management system for information security.
ISO 27001 helps us to protect information as follows:
- Confidentiality ensures that information is only available to authorized parties.
- Integrity ensures that the methods for handling information are accurate and complete.
- Accessibility ensures that authorized users have access to information and associated assets when needed.
Certification by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) as an independent certification body shows that we have taken the necessary measures to protect sensitive information against unauthorized access and changes. With our ISO 27001 certification, we demonstrate that our information security management system has been measured against a standard of best practice in the industry and found to be in compliance with it.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management
Braathe gruppen wants to be an environmentally friendly supplier and environmental management is an integral part of our Management System. This contributes to an understanding of and ability to maintain an optimal environmental profile, both in relation to laws and regulations and with regard to external requirements and expectations. The certification shows that we have an effective system for controlling our environmental impacts and that we actively reduce our environmental impact to a minimum.
ISO 45001 Safe working environment and HSE
The standard sets requirements for the processes around handling the work environment to prevent illness and accidents in the workplace. We work continuously with follow-up of the work environment work and improvement activities. Our management system helps us to ensure employees a safe working environment. In addition, it has functions that facilitate increased employee involvement.
