Godthaab is a rehabilitation institution located in Oslo at Bekkestua. Through the general manager, Lillanna Lindeman Engzelius, we learn that everyone who works with health is very dependent on their systems. Not only that the uptime is high, but also the security. That's because Godthaab's employees access sensitive patient information every single day. Then patients must berygge that it is secured for the future.
Lillanna, who has been general manager at Godthaab since 2017, also emphasizes simplicity. - For Godthaab, it is absolutely essential that the computer systems are simple, intuitive, practical and that the interaction works in a good way, she says.
24/7 operation and worry-free IT
Godthaab is an organization that looks after the patient around the clock. This means that the system must be available and secure at all times, regardless of what the clock shows. We make high demands on uptime as an IT supplier - this is precisely why we believe that Godthaab and Braathe is a good match.
The general manager confirms this: - I feel that we Braathe have got a supplier that we trust and rely on. And who understand which business they provide services to and that it is critical for us that the systems work.
Godthaab has no ICT department. Therefore, they have had to look outside the organization to operate, secure and ensure that everything works. This is where we came in, and it has become a fantastic collaboration. - We are completely dependent on Braathe and that they deliver these services, and that we can trust that we have them at all times, says the general manager.
Heidi Nordstad, our leader of the delivery team, says that at Godthaab we are simply the customer's IT manager. It's something we take seriously. She also emphasizes the importance of security:
- The vision of Braathe is to deliver worry-free IT. It's quite hairy, but we'll trygge the customer that they have a good supplier in ryggen. We must trygge the customer that we can actually deliver it and that the customer should have a worry-free everyday IT life.

Good interaction leads to time savings
What is good interaction? We have several answers to that, and we don't think there is an answer for everyone. Therefore, we must get to know the customer before we make our recommendations. At Godthaab, we have emphasized keeping the system simple. It should be seamless and understandable regardless of who is looking at the screen. We believe this will prevent frustration and precious time being spent on IT matters when it could be spent on something else. We want Godthaab to concentrate on his most important task, namely patient care.
Among the services Godthaab receives from Braatheis Desktop in the Cloud, Device as a Service and broadband. We are also working on preparing one Network as a service- delivery to them.
Lillanna is delighted with our collaboration, and says that in order for them to enjoy the system, both the ICT system and the interaction must be good. In addition, it is probably nice to know that we are only a chat message, email or phone call away should anything happen.
