Stumbling morning, turned to a day, "oh so BRIGHT"
You know the feeling. You unlock the door to the office and enter. You notice that something is different, but can't immediately put your finger on it. There is something missing. It's also very strange that the colleague on the corner who always has his door closed now has the door wide open. Then it hits you! All the computer equipment is missing. The office desks are in complete chaos and only wires, some mice, a few keyboards and the oldest screens are left. All computers, both portable and desktops, are ripped away from their usual place. You sit down on the nearest chair and think “I have to call our IT provider. And the police. ”

All corporates nightmare
The employees at one of Braathe Gruppens customers this winter experienced every businesses nightmares - overnight someone had broken into their office space. All computers, monitors and equipment were stolen. The panic is on when you detect a burglary, whether at home or in the workplace. How would they get any work done without all the equipment they depend on for work everyday? The manager quickly contacted their IT vendor, Braathe Gruppen.

Good overview gives fast response time
“We got the news about a burglary at our customers location at 07:50 on a Friday morning. As their IT provider, we have a good overview of the solutions they have, what equipment and services we provide to them. This enabled us to act very quickly. ” says customer manager, Dag Johansen.

Already at ten o'clock, just two hours after the case came in Braathe Gruppen, new equipment was in place in Oslo. In addition, a consultant was sent out from Braathe Gruppen, to ensure that the customer got started with the new equipment and was quickly back to work. Already at lunch, several employees were back in action.

Clouds save the day - or the data, at least
If you have someone breaking into a business, the equipment is not necessarily the worst thing to lose - losing your data is often worse. Previously, this customer had their data stored on physical servers, but on recommendation they switched to a cloud solution where the data is rather secured in the Braathe Gruppens data center. Fortunately, this was a long time before the burglary occurred - and no data was ever close to getting off track.

“Our solutions also requires multifactor authentication, which ensures that access to data is only provided to the desired individual. Most data breaches occur through unauthorized access to the employee's username and password. Multifactor authentication ensures that the employee must use a code in addition to username and password. This code is sent to the user's smartphone via an app or SMS. This gives you an extra layer of security, in addition to the traditional username and password. ”, says Johansen.

You should rent, rather than own
The equipment that was stolen was mostly owned by Braathe Gruppen. For better cost control and to ensure up-to-date equipment park, this customer has signed a client equipment and operating agreement with Braathe Gruppen. This means that the customer has an ongoing lease on the machines they use and an agreement on the maintenance and operation of this machinery. Standardized solutions were instrumental in delivering new computers, monitors and other equipment in just a few hours.

“Thanks to the solutions we have at Braathe Gruppen, we could continue working as if the burglary never happened - just hours after we discovered it ” - says the manager of the company.
